Terron Armstead’s Future with the Dolphins Uncertain
Left tackle Terron Armstead is currently signed with the Miami Dolphins until the end of the 2026 season. However, the team’s strategy for the 2025 season does not include him as part of their plans. This information was relayed by head coach Mike McDaniel during a press conference at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
In recent offseasons, Armstead has considered retirement, and he indicated that he will once again be pondering that option after Week 18. During Tuesday’s press conference, McDaniel mentioned that Armstead has yet to communicate his decision to the team. Nonetheless, the Dolphins are preparing for free agency and the draft with the expectation that Armstead may not be part of their roster next season.
Last year, the Dolphins selected Patrick Paul in the second round, intending for him to eventually step into a starting tackle position. The comments made by McDaniel on Tuesday suggest that this transition could happen as soon as this fall. swerte99
